Welcome to Sexuality Wiki! Please read the following rules carefully and ask a staff member if you have any questions.

Breaking the Global Policies or the Local Policies may result in a warning, block, or ban.

Global Policies

Below are global policies; an excerpt from Fandom's TOS. "Global policies" are policies that apply to all wikis on Fandom, including this one. You will not do any of the following on this wiki, or others:

  • Engage on a Fandom account if you are underaged. (Under 13 years old.)
  • Abuse, harass, threaten or intimidate other Fandom users.
  • Post or transmit any content that is obscene, pornographic, abusive, offensive, profane, or otherwise violates any law or right of any third party, or content that contains homophobia, transphobia, ethnic slurs, religious intolerance, or encourages criminal conduct.
  • Attempt to impersonate another user or person.
  • Post any illegal or unauthorized content or use for any illegal or unauthorized purposes.
  • Post or transmit any communication or solicitation designed or intended to obtain password, account, email address, or private information from any Fandom user.
  • Post, upload, transmit, share, or store unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, solicitations, “spam”, or any other type of unauthorized solicitation;
  • Solicit personal information from any user under the age of 18.
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws and laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content);
  • Post advertisements or solicitations of business.

Local Policies

Local policies are extensions of global policies, working on a wiki-to-wiki basis. You are expected to abide the local policies on this wiki, but not necessarily on other wikis.

General Policies

These are general policies for our wiki. Do not do any of the following via any form of posting or editing on this wiki:

  • Do not cyberbully. (Bully using technology).
  • Do not plagiarize. (Stealing/using the work of someone who is not you, without giving said person credit).
  • Do not express hate-speech. (Expressing opinions that are considered prejudice).
  • Do not impersonate other people or users. (Pretend to be someone you are not).
  • Do not inappropriately name your account. (Name your account something you shouldn't).
  • Do not sockpuppet. (Abuse multiple accounts).
  • Do not insult other users. (Making fun of or offending another user).
  • Do not swear or use slurs/racial slurs anywhere on this wiki. (Don't cuss).
  • Do not make personal attacks. (Making false accusations against another user).
  • Do not, in any form, imply that you think a sexuality is invalid or "not real." (Do not invalidate identities).
    • This wiki is not a place for discourse, and is treated as a safe space for all non-harmful identities. On this wiki, we treat xenogenders, neurogenders, alterhumans, MOGAI identities, plural systems, mspec gays/lesbians, and others as valid, and you will too while you are here; if you think otherwise, you may either leave or not express these opinions. While we would like to treat this wiki as a place with the freedom to express any personal opinion, the line must be drawn somewhere, and invalidating other's identities is not okay.

Editing Policies

These are policies to follow when you are editing a page on this wiki. These may also apply to our posting policies:

  • Do not vandalize. (Editing a page maliciously).
  • Do not blank pages. (Removing all content from a page).
  • Do not edit or vandalize pages in an attempt to deem a label invalid. (do not add invalidating messages to pages).
  • When creating a page, do not redefine or change the definitions of genders beyond what was in their coining post. (There are exceptions to this rule, but treat it as the norm).
  • All terms and flags must credit their creator, and a link must be provided to where they were coined, if possible. (You will give proper credit and provide proper references).
  • Abide by our editing guide.
  • If a page does not meet the wiki's requirements (meaning it has no history section and/or no references) It may be moved into the page creator's userspace until these requirements are met.

Posting Policies

These are a list of policies/guidelines you should follow when posting anywhere on this wiki. When stated, some rules may only apply to certain posting features. These policies may also apply to our editing policies.

  • Do not post queerphobia. (Insulting or harassing those you see outside the norm).
  • Do not flame-war. (Persistantly fight with another user).
  • Do not spam. (Post the same thing over and over).
  • Do not necropost. (Posting in a conversation that has not had any activity in more than two weeks).
  • Do not paraphrase the same information another user has already posted in a conversation/thread. (Saying the same thing as another user).
  • Blogs: Do not post blogs that are single-phase or only a few sentences.

User Boundaries

On this wiki you will respect the boundaries and expectations of other users and community members.

  • You will refer to other users as their correct identity. (You will not misgender other users).
  • You will refer to other users with their correct pronouns. (You will not misgender other users).
  • You will refer to other users as their current name. (You will not deadname other users).
  • You will respect the boundaries or rules other users create. (Example: If a user expresses that they do not want to receive messages on their message wall, you will not message them via their message wall).
  • You will assume good faith in other users. (You will not assume a user is malicious until proven otherwise).
  • You will respect other user's identities, opinions, or beliefs. (You will keep an open mindset).

Blocking

This section provides information on the the Sexuality Wiki's blocking policy:

  • Our standard block is two weeks. This applies to almost all blocks; if you have been blocked, even if it is not a first offense, you will often be blocked for two weeks.
  • Most users will be entitled to two warnings before being blocked. Beforehand, they may or may not be given reminders to follow wiki policies.
  • Users may or may not be given warnings depending upon what seems necessary. People who appear to only be on this wiki to vandalize and or troll it may not receive any contact prior to a block. However, users who seem to have genuine interest or interaction with the wiki, but are just breaking policies, will receive reminders or warnings.

Reporting

Users that violate the local policies of this wiki may be reported to a local admin. User that violate the global policies may be reported to either a local admin or to the SOAP team on their wiki.
